Voluisa Penney Saver Censors Advertisers!

I am not talking about adult content or adult business. I am a web developer who does web sites for other small businesses, none are adult. My ad was to promote my local City Directory Guides to the NE Florida area and to solicite work for my Web Design company which has been in business since 1995.

To the right is the actual ad they refuse to print
without giving any reason, simply saying it was
their right to refuse any ad.

Volusia Penny Saver censors business ads. Refuses to publish.

Since they won't tell me why they refused my ad, I can only guess. Legally they have that right just as the First Amendment gives me the right to publish my response here. It is also bad business. For me the hard part is I am handicapped by arthritus in my left hip and can no longer run around town to physically knock on doors and have to resort to advertising in the hopes people will call me for appointments.

Banning an ad without any reason given leads me too suspect two things about the Penney Saver Organization.

1) They ban information that limits the readers choices when shopping in their paper, reducing the value of their own publications*.

2) The Penney Save will not allow anyone to compete with them in any service*

I suspect that since my ad indicated I have online classifieds, the decided they will not let me advertise at all, even though their revenue is ONLY from print ads...which I don't do. I had even placed a link ( free ) on my classifieds suggesting my people also contact the Penney Saver to place a print ad. [ That link used to appear where the link to this page now resides.]

If you are a business and would like a free ad on any of my city guides, just inquire at the Volusia Penney Savers email about censorship of competitor's ads in the Penney Savers, send me a copy of their response and I will place your ad online free of charge. Don't worry, I won't reveal any sources!  If you want a web site, I will give you $50 off the price and place your ad for free. With the exception of adult content...I don't censor.
